Columbia’s Elegant All White Dinner Returns to a New Secret Location on Saturday, September 30, 2023

Le Diner en Blanc returns to Columbia for its 3rd edition on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at a new secret location. The elegant dinner is a unique experience in which guests are required to wear all white and bring their dining essentials to an outdoor secret location.   

And to be part of this unique experience, general public can do so by sign-up to Phase 3 (waiting list) at register.dinerenblanc.com/columbia and receive an invitation to register in time for the opening of the phase which will be on Wednesday, August 30th at 9:00 a.m. first-time guests can register online at.

Frenched influenced event, Le Diner en Blanc is an opportunity to celebrate friendship and the uniqueness of the host city.   

Bernita C. Cooper, Bianca Shelton and Jacqueline Keisler return as the host team and are excited for guests to experience this year’s event. “This chic and elegant affair is the perfect opportunity for guests to reconnect with longtime friends, build new business relationships and forge friendships while enjoying all that Columbia has to offer,” said Bernita Cooper. 

“We’ve continued partnering with local business owners who are familiar with the Columbia community and understand the long-standing French picnic tradition that Le Diner en Blanc offers,” said Cooper. 

This year, Le Diner en Blanc Columbia is proud to partner with several Midlands businesses to execute the event. Official event partners include the Solomon Law Group, The COMET and Optus Bank. Event collaborators include Trapp’d in da Smoke, 3 G Event Decor, Randolph’s Artisan Italian Ice & Gelato, Prix Fixe and more. 

To maintain the uniqueness of Le Diner en Blanc, every guest has its part to play and observes certain requirements such as: 

• Dress code: head-to-toe in white only. Elegance and Originality are key! 

• Table setting: all white!

• At the French-influenced event, only wine and/or Champagne are served. As per the State of South Carolina, bringing your own alcohol is not permitted. Wine and/or Champagne must be reserved online through Le Diner en Blanc’s e-store. Guests are welcome to bring their own non-alcoholic beverages. 

• To ensure that the location secret is kept undisclosed until the last minute, guests meet at the assigned departure location and are escorted by a Diner en Blanc volunteer.

• So, the event location is left as clean as when guests arrived, they are required to leave with all their belongings, leftovers, and litter.

Guests are to bring:

• A table, two white chairs, white tablecloth.

• A picnic basket comprising fine food and proper stemware and white dinnerware. 

  • A catered picnic basket option, which can be picked up on site, will be available for those who do not wish to pack their own. Guests wishing to do so must reserve online through Le Diner en Blanc’s e-store.
